THE CANCER GREMLINS

Although gremlins are imaginary; cancer is not. There is an effective strategy to decrease your risk of getting a cancer diagnosis. There isn’t just one thing that is the silver bullet to defeat your cancer risk. It is really a combination of proactive, life-changing steps, which are the most effective. Are these steps difficult, risky or expensive? No. Will health insurance or the government pay for it? No. However, this is an all natural, easy to execute anti-cancer plan.

STATS ARE IN FOR 2012
The statistics on cancer rates in the US for 2012 are in (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.3322/caac.20138/pdf). The northeast part of the country seems to be the hardest hit with all types of cancer. The states with the highest number of cancer cases are; Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The males have to worry about is prostate cancer and the women have to worry about breast cancer. For both men and women pulmonary cancer takes second place. So, the statistics for 2012 are saying this:

• More Americans died from lung, prostate and breast cancer than the other types of cancers.

1. There were nearly 850,000 new male cancer patients
2. There were nearly 800,000 new female cancer patients.
3. There were over 300,000 men who died of cancer (all types).
4. There were over 275,000 women who died of cancer (all types)

Science tells us that the older we get our risk of getting cancer increases. Actually, scientific medicine expects us (and our pets) to get cancer. According to the Cancer Journal for Clinicians, they expect over 1.6 million new cancer patients annually. The sheer numbers of the cancer trend in America are frightening to say the least. However, they don’t have to be. Modern medicine is great if you suffer from trauma and need help but for preventative healthcare they tend to specialize in disease management.

So, what does this mean?

Medicine makes more money managing your illness; giving you the illusion of health. For example, if you suffer from high blood pressure modern medicine does not attempt to cure you of this but to artificially lower the blood pressure numbers with prescription drugs. Drug dependency is not a real cure and just postpones the inevitable. Cancer patients who are told they are in remission feel they are cancer-free. However, remission is a medical term meaning a lessening of symptoms and a majority of cancer patients (who make no lifestyle changes) have a recurrence of their cancer symptoms within two years.

FORTUNE COOKIE WISDOM
I love to read the message hidden inside my fortune cookie. Some of the fortunes are extremely wise. One of the health practices found among the Asian populace is that they pay their doctor a few cents a day when they are well and stop paying when they become sick. This monetary system of paying the doctor is in the patient’s best interest. How do you suppose that would work in the Western world? Doctors in American would be broke. Country club memberships, yacht clubs and luxury car sales would be in a steep decline. Insurance companies would be affected as well. American’s need to change the way they think about what is healthy. 

CANCER DIET

Why do over a million American’s get cancer? Could it be genetics? Some of the cases are because of heredity but why is that? We typically develop our lifestyle from observing our family. Cancer is in everyone and is kept under control with the immune system. Diet affects the immune system and can weaken or strengthen it. The typical American diet consists of these foods on an annual basis:

• 756 doughnuts; 60 pounds of cakes & cookies; 23 gallons of ice cream; 7 pounds of potato chips; 22 pounds of candy; 365 cans of soda; 90 pounds of fat; 134 pounds of refined sugar

• 41% eat no daily fruit; 82% eat no daily vegetables; 72% get no daily vitamin C from fruits & vegetables; 80% get no daily vitamin A from fruits & vegetables; 84% get no daily fiber (whole grains)

American’s will need to reverse these lists. Therefore, diet will be your biggest ally at avoiding the cancer gremlins.

IMMUNITY
Diet will definitely help the immune system. However, if you’ve utilized antibiotics and other prescription and over-the-counter medicine products then you will have some immune system boosting to do. You can strengthen your immune system and make it over 100 fold stronger than the average person. I like to use two groups of immune system herbs. One group is for powering up the immune system to full strength and shortening the duration of illness and the other is for preventing illness.
